HEY! Where the hell have you guys been? Me? I was here the whole time! I've just been waiting on you guys to show up... Yeah. That's it... Yeah..
Kidding, kidding. Jordan here! Sorry for the delay in posts, my friends. But it seemed that the end of the work week had me in overdrive and I just could not find the time to get a post up. My apologies. BUT I am back and you're going to get a barrage of posts this evening.
First up is It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! It was the third to be released of the Peanuts TV specials and, much like It's a Charlie Brown Christmas, this TV special was an instant classic when it first aired on October 22nd, 1966. For this special, Charles Schultz decided that it would be funny if one of the Peanuts crew had their holidays mixed up. The result as Linus, instead of going trick-or-treating with his friends, decided to stay in the pumpkin patch and wait for the Great Pumpkin, a fictitious Halloween counterpart of Santa Claus. Sadly, Linus was faced with the reality that the Great Pumpkin was never going to come visit.
This special has aired every October since it debuted continues to find new audiences every year.
